Peak Paws Outdoors was set up by Joy Bagshawe to help dog owners meet the needs of their pets when they are away from home. Joy offers dog home boarding and day care in Wormhill within easy access to Bakewell, Buxton, Tideswell, Taddington, Hathersage and other villages in the Peak District..

My name is Joy Bagshawe and I live in Wormhill, Derbyshire with my husband Will and ourfriendly Border Terrier Monty. We are licensed to board six dogs in our home which is a picturesque and quiet cottage in the private grounds of Wormhill Hall. There is plenty ofsecure space for the dogs to enjoy themselves and we are surrounded by numerous walks in stunning countryside. We offer a home from home environment and the dogs in our care are treated as if they are our own pets with lots of fuss and attention.
I have always lived in the local area, and was brought up on a working farm in Sheldon. I have owned and cared for animals from an early age, from ponies and horses to rabbits, cats and after begging for years I was given a ‘second hand’ dog called Dinky when I was a teenager. I have been lucky enough to have owned dogs for over fifteen years, and have ridden and owned horses for over twenty years. Animals have brought so much pleasure into my life. My experience along with regular dog first aid training provides your dog means taht your dog is in trustworthy and capable hands.
I understand how important pets are to their owners as my lifestyle has always been scheduled around my animals and their needs have always come first. Whilst in our care PPO boarding guests's welfare and happiness is paramount. I will do everything possible to ensure they enjoy their experience with Peak Paws Outdoors. I am extremely interested in dog psychology and training, and adopt these methods when working with dogs. Dogs are fully supervised at all times in a relaxed and calm home environment. We offer company, lots of fuss, exercise and a cosy log burner at the end of the day for relaxing and snoozing- doggy heaven!
